About Sober Coach Ibiza

Here we are…

On the cutting edge of Recovery Technology and Behavioral Health Recovery Management, Sober Coach Ibiza is a Recovery Coach Professional providing practitioner-level support.

Currently on staff as companion & case manager at Thera Bespoke - Luxury Rehab in Bali.

With over ten years of sobriety, I bring extensive knowledge and experience from my practice as a trained Recovery Coach Professional through RCA UK, CCAR, and with accreditation in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) from CPD UK. In the past, I have actively supported individuals in rehabilitation settings, informally sponsored those in 12-step programs, and mentored others in recovery.

My desire to give back, combined with my wealth of experience, inspired me to become a Recovery Coach Professional.

I am committed to offering multiple pathways in recovery, recognizing that each individual’s journey is unique. A key aspect of my approach includes essential monitoring of progress to ensure that clients stay on track with their recovery goals. I continually stay informed about the latest advancements and breakthroughs in the field through further training.

My approach combines formal education with real-world experience. While my personal recovery journey began with the 12-step program, I recognize that it is not suitable for everyone. Therefore, I focus on providing individualized recovery pathways tailored to each person's unique needs and circumstances.

Having spent my life in the music industry—a challenging environment for maintaining sobriety—I have found that recovery has opened doors to opportunities and creativity I never thought possible. Today, I live a fulfilling life grounded in purpose and balance.

My mission is to leverage my training and experience to help others achieve freedom and peace in their recovery journey, staying informed of cutting-edge developments in addiction treatment and behavioral change.

I have learned on my path in recovery to hold dear the goodness of my past experiences and release or at least accept the traumatic episodes and I can show you the methods I've learned and applied that have helped me adjust my perception, feelings and reactions to being an addict and being human, in the immortal words of William Shakespeare “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so”.

My name is Adam...

Born in NYC USA, I have been a professional music business person my entire life, I have ten years clean & sober, live on Ibiza in Spain and am a CCAR trained Recovery Coach Professional with various other trainings and volunteer & professional activities in the field of Recovery.

Ibiza

If I can do it ANYONE can, I got sober on Ibiza with the 12 step programs and while I am forever grateful for that pathway to recovery I have observed that it is not a great fit for everyone and with a sincere wish for anyone and everyone to experience the liberation & transformation I hadn't even had the courage to dream of, I have chosen to practice as a Recovery Coach Professional / Sober Coach. 12 step programs are not for everyone but recovery is.

Music & Business

Look at me I'm in the music business! Here is a quote from Hunter S. Thompson: “The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side.”

Performing on stage since age fifteen and still active in the music business, far from feeling less creative or excluded from my peers in music and in the business of music, recovery has connected me to more creativity and opportunities than I could have ever imagined and certainly could not have encountered under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Recovery Lifestyle

I am not dependent on drugs, alcohol, people, places, things or activities for my balance and peace in life. I do not live in fear, regret, shame or remorse. I am comfortable in my own skin. Live humbly & happily well within my means, have zero debt, do exactly what I enjoy for a living, live exactly where I prefer with people that I love and love me in return, contribute to the community AND I have a motorcycle (a childhood dream come true)! This is all as a result of recovery from drug addiction.

Of all the absolutely countless wonderful developments in my life of recovery and my "Recovery Lifestyle" my motorcycle stands out, before I knew better I assumed that dream could never come true for me, as is often the sad case for us suffering with addiction & related challenges, dreams and accomplishments with a core feeling of accomplishment are for other people, not us.

I'm here to tell you - It just ain't so! Armed with sobriety and the experience, strength and hope I would like to share with you I feel confident, secure and prepared to face life's challenges sober, with integrity and hope.
